Senior Development Officer - Individual Giving
Grade: Grade 7 - £32,236 - £39,609
This is an excellent opportunity for an exceptional fundraiser to join us as a Senior Development Officer - Individual Giving, within our Development and Alumni Relations (DARO) team. You will engage with alumni and supporters to encourage philanthropic activity, build relationships and develop the supporter journey. You will develop, manage and deliver a regular giving programme to raise funds for University priority projects which will help give our students a brighter future.
The Directorate of External Relations aims to enhance the reputation of the University through effective engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, external and internal, and thus support income generation. It includes student recruitment and admissions, marketing, corporate communications, internal communications, alumni and development, web services, creative services and events and public engagement.
Your priorities will include:
- Cultivate and solicit potential and existing donors
- Develop, manage and deliver a regular giving programme
- Develop compelling donor appeals
- Engage stakeholders to identify fundraising projects
- Work to agreed activity and financial targets
Who we’re looking for:
- Demonstrable track record in fundraising
- Previous experience in managing prospects and key relationships
- Excellent formal and informal oral communication skills
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and to prioritise competing deadlines
