Description

The Leprosy Mission Scotland (TLMS) is a leading international Christian development organisation with over 140 years’ experience and is part of the TLM worldwide family. TLMS is active in seven countries in Asia and Africa, with projects addressing the causes and consequences of leprosy, ranging from health and livelihoods to advocacy.

TLMS’s purpose is to increase awareness and understanding of leprosy and to achieve fundraising support targets in excess of £2 million over the next three years.

Based in the Stirling office, you will be responsible for securing new and repeat donations from trusts, foundations and corporate donors by developing positive relationships over the phone, through high-quality written applications, and face-to-face contact. In addition, and with the CEO, you will implement the current and develop future major donor and legacy strategies.

You will have at least two years’ proven trust fundraising experience, be passionate about the work of TLMS, enjoy building relationships and will be confident to make the “ask”. You will have proven research skills and be self-motivated with the capacity to work as part of a team and independently.

TLMS is an explicitly Christian charity, and part of your role will be to represent the Mission’s purpose and ethos to external audiences and undertake biblical research to locate appropriate scripture for use in TLMS written material.
