Description

With the help of the local community, Aberdeen Cyrenians has been providing sup-port to vulnerable people in the city for the past 50 years. Through a range of services both in community and residential settings, the sup-port focuses on:

•Prevention of homelessness - through outreach support and ad-vice

•Alleviation of homelessness - through short-term and medium-term accommodation places along with its Housing First programme

•Rehabilitation - tackling underlying issues such as domestic and sexual abuse, substance misuse and mental health

•Resettlement - practical help to learn the skills needed to live in the community, sustain a tenancy and gain employment

The charity aims to help people to make planned changes in their lives, often at crucial periods of transition. All services are provided on a voluntary basis in recognition of people’s rights to choose if they want to access the support provided.

To be a successful Fundraising Manager for Aberdeen Cyrenians you should have the following skills:

•Experience in directly line managing small teams (covering all aspects of management)

•Experience of working in a very fast paced environment, prioritizing and organising workloads

•Established and excellent communication skills both verbal and written with proven ability to build diverse, professional relationships

•Must have a driving licence and access to own vehicle due to the geographical spread

•The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate with a real can do attitude

•Experience and success of dealing with large donations, or have a back-ground in high value sales.

•Have strong experience in managing a pipeline (this can be within the sector or from a sales background)

•Track record of hitting or exceeding targets.

•Be a creative thinker with the ability to develop and implement new strategies.
