The vibrant Macrobert Arts Centre serves the communities of Stirling and the Forth Valley with a diverse and inclusive programme of theatre, comedy, music, opera, dance, musical theatre, visual arts and film. The Arts Centre – an independent charitable organisation – is based on the University of Stirling’s beautiful campus.
The charity’s vision is ‘to be a leading cultural asset developing social capital by making active connections with people, communities and ideas for entertainment, well-being and understanding.’ To deliver this, its work includes community outreach activities in the local area, the social impact of this being hugely important to the organisation.
Macrobert Arts Centre is now seeking to appoint a Development Manager to deliver and develop its fundraising strategy, generating income to support the creative development of new and existing programmes of work.
Core funding for the Arts Centre comes from Creative Scotland and the University of Stirling, with this supplemented by the annual Christmas Appeal, ticket sales and income from trusts and foundations. There is the opportunity to explore and develop other income streams for the charity, such as corporate and individual giving.
As a member of the Management Team, you will have the scope to help identify and define the strategic direction of the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven fundraiser who can spot funding opportunities and build successful relationships.
If you would like to play your part in helping this thriving Arts Centre enhance its artistic and creative objectives we would love to hear from you.
If you, or anyone that you know, would like to find out more about this role, please email [email protected] as soon as possible for further information prior to making your application.
