Aberlour Options Aberdeen provides a variety of services throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire supporting people with learning disabilities and complex communication and behavioural difficulties. Our Shortbreaks service provides 24/7 support from our respite base in Bucksburn, Aberdeen. In addition we also provide outreach, daycare and alternatives to education services.
Relief Workers play a crucial role in supporting our team, providing care, support and protection to children and young people in order to meet their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual needs. This work is offered on a casual, hourly paid basis to provide cover during staff absence and/or particularly busy periods. You will work in a person centred manner to intensive individualised support plans working closely with families and other agencies, as applicable, including assisting service users to access local and wider community resources
You are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council. To register you must hold or be willing to work towards a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (eg SVQ3 Care plus an HNC).
