Imagine a world where no life is cut short by cancer. Imagine being part of the team that works tirelessly to make that vision a reality.

Worldwide Cancer Research is a small charity with immense ambition - to see a day where no life is cut short by cancer. To bring that day closer the charity is changing, and growing.

Worldwide Cancer Research funds innovative cancer research all over the world, finding the best projects that sit right at the beginning of the research journey. The charity kick-starts the life-saving advances of the future by sowing the seeds of new discoveries today, funding brand new ideas and supporting researchers who ask big, challenging, new questions about how cancer works and how we can control it.

Worldwide Cancer Research takes a global approach to solving a local problem because cancer affects people in your city, your street, your family - but the answers could be found anywhere in the world…

To help bring forward the day that no life is cut short by cancer, the charity is looking for a Supporter Services Manager to lead its front line support services across the organisation, being responsible for delivering service excellence to all customers and supporters. This is a new role with a newly appointed team!

The Supporter Services Manager will have line management responsibility for four Supporter Services Administrators who provide a high level of general and specialist administrative support, delivering a wonderful donor experience and high standards within an innovative and proactive environment, offering support and accurate advice whilst building relationships and maintaining a supporter focus at all times.

You will also have line management responsibility for six Telephone Fundraising Executives who work to individual and team targets by contacting existing or lapsed supporters in order to encourage them to review their existing giving and promote the work of the charity through a range of methods, such as telemarketing, email and live chat.

Having overall responsibility for facilities management and health and safety for the organisation, it is essential this post holder has an Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) qualification. Previous experience and an IOSH qualification are an advantage however the qualification can be gained once in post.

If you have recent leadership experience within a call centre environment, deliver on financial and non-financial KPIs, have developed strategies, can motivate and develop a new team, are dynamic, entrepreneurial and personable this is the role for you!

We are all affected by cancer, wherever we live in the world, and it will take a worldwide movement to beat it.
