BTA (Bruce Tait Associates) are delighted to be working with Diabetes UK in their search for a Regional Fundraiser - West of Scotland.

A quarter of a million Scots are living with diabetes. Thousands more are as yet undiagnosed. The potentially devastating condition is the fastest growing health crisis of our time.

Diabetes UK is the UK’s leading charitable funder of diabetes research. It improves lives through pioneering research into all forms of diabetes and related complications. This work also helps us to understand the causes of diabetes, bringing us closer to a cure.

Although this is a maternity cover position, it is still an exciting time to join the dynamic Community and Events Fundraising Team at Diabetes UK. There is a brand new strategic direction for the team and the charity is looking for individuals to play a crucial role in delivering its exciting plans for growth.

This is a home based post where the successful candidate will carry out a varied role including managing day to day relationships with key supporters with the purpose of generating income across the region through community fundraising activities, delivering on income targets by building strong relationships with individuals, local companies, community groups and volunteers.

We are looking for a good all round community fundraiser or someone with experience of building relationships, who is extremely well organised, has good written and verbal skills and experience of presenting to groups. We will consider candidates with transferable skills who have a background possibly in Recruitment, Sales, or similar – where there is a lot of account management and client relationship building.

This search is being conducted exclusively on behalf of Diabetes UK by BTA. If you think this is a perfect match for your values and skills set then please contact [email protected] as soon as possible for further information prior to making your application.
