Young Enterprise Scotland has been inspiring and empowering young individuals to learn, develop, and achieve their full potential through enterprise since 1992. Each year, approximately 16,000 young people from diverse backgrounds receive support and gain business knowledge, entrepreneurial skills, and enhancing their employability.

To do this, Young Enterprise Scotland aim to inspire and equip young people, irrespective of their backgrounds, to learn, develop, and reach their full potential through enterprise and financial education.

There are various programmes, workshops, and services available to inspire, connect and support College students and future entrepreneurs, from Get Inspired events, to masterclasses, personal development, and practical working spaces.

A position has opened up at Young Enterprise Scotland to lead the Bridge 2 Business programme and Square Go Start Up Village and oversee the delivery and expansion, ensuring quality learning and growth in the education sector.


The Role

As the Further Education & Entrepreneurship Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping young people bring business ideas to life, developing their skills and achieving goals/success, as well as employability opportunities.

Another aspect of this role is looking after the B2B team, ensuring they are armed with the tools and knowledge to support young people and to deliver quality programmes and courses.

As a leader, you will inspire your team, volunteers, and all students to grow and achieve objectives. This will comprise of effective relationship development, strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication methods and delivery, all coupled with a fantastic enthusiasm for enterprise education.

Externally, you will be able to identify future development opportunities and networks by being an ambassador for Young Enterprise Scotland, showcasing the importance and impact that Bridge 2 Business and Square Go can provide, expanding the model towards further education establishments across Scotland.

You will need to possess a creative and collaborative style, a strong understanding of the third sector in Scotland and the ability to identify and connect with new external stakeholders/partners. An understanding of enterprise curriculum and assessment process is desirable.
