Description

BTA (Bruce Tait Associates) are delighted to be working with Camphill School Aberdeen in their search for a Day Services Manager.

Camphill School Aberdeen is an independent charity offering sector-leading education, care, craft and therapy services for children and young people with additional support needs on a day or residential basis. It is the founding place of the international Camphill Movement, which currently numbers 121 communities worldwide.

The School, inspired by Rudolf Steiner, recently celebrated its 75th anniversary and has been at the cutting edge of pedagogical development since its inception, when in the 1940s it became one of the first schools in the UK to offer formal education for children and young people with additional support needs. Today it remains at this cutting edge, offering a series of bespoke programmes in partnership with its stakeholders to meet the wide variety of needs that come towards it. The children and young people have a multitude of activities to choose from as they seek to build their resilience and confidence while striving to become active participating citizens of the world.

Following an organisation wide review of the services delivered at Camphill School Aberdeen, they are recruiting a Day Services Manager to:

• Enhance the potential of residents and pupils attending workshops and working in the farm and gardens and improve outcomes for all individuals attending day services. • Grow the service in accordance with the recommendations of the Day Services Review.

To be considered for this role you will have experience of working with children and adults with special needs and must have SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or working towards it). You will be a proven leader who has managed staff and volunteers as well as being able to oversee diverse and busy work streams.
