Chief Executive Officer

Employer Ayrshire Hospice
Job Type Chief Executive
Location Glasgow and the West
Specific Location Ayr
Salary £85,009-£88,891 (depending on experience)
Closing Date Midnight, Sunday 15th July

Description

Ayrshire Hospice has served the people of Ayrshire and Arran for the past 30 years. It has provided exceptional care for anyone from the age of 16 and upwards who is suffering from a life-limiting illness. Their families are also not forgotten. There is a range of services that support their care and well being. The Hospice is much loved and valued within its community.

Having been without a CEO for the past year, the Board and senior management team have now set the vision for the future and are ready for a new CEO to be appointed to deliver all the organisational goals and drive the charity forward. A centrepiece of the strategy is a proposed £12m capital build programme to ensure the Hospice continues to provide the best possible patient experience in the best available facilities. After drawing on reserves that have been designated for this project, the CEO will require to ensure at least a further £6m is secured.

You will need to have extensive senior leadership experience, although not necessarily in a CEO role. Perhaps this is the next logical step up for you.  You will, however, need to have experience of managing a complex and diverse, multi-million-pound organisation in a highly regulated environment. You should have deep knowledge of good governance and experience of reporting into a Board of Management. It goes without saying that your business and financial management acumen must be second to none. In addition, you will need to evidence strong stakeholder management skills and be a worthy ambassador for such a highly respected organisation that frequently has a public spotlight on it.

If this sounds like you and you feel you are strongly aligned with the vision, mission and values of Ayrshire Hospice, we’d like to hear from you.
