Description

Overall Purpose of Volunteer Role

To assist with uploading case studies to the Integral Human Development Department (IHDD) Sharepoint database.

 

Duration

A minimum six-month period on at least one day per week.

 

Key Duties

To work with IHDD Programme Officers to gather case studies from our overseas projects and upload them to the Sharepoint database.

 

Personal Skills

  • Computer literate;
  • Basic IT skills, preferably with previous experience of working with databases;
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
  • Good attention to detail.

Communication

  • Ability to build relationships and work with others.

 

Other

  • Flexible approach to volunteering role. 

 

Duration and Hours

One day per week for a minimum six-month period.

 

Trial Periods

All volunteering opportunities are subject to a trial period of one month.

 

Insurance

Volunteers are covered by SCIAF’s insurance policy.

 

Learning & Development

SCIAF actively promotes learning and development within the organisation and as such you will be provided with any necessary training.

 

Location and Expenses

The volunteering role is located within the SCIAF office, 19 Park Circus, Glasgow.

 

Expenses

Travel to and from the SCIAF office on public transport will be reimbursed; lunch expenses will be reimbursed for each full day worked (minimum of six hours).
