CLAN Cancer Support have been dedicated to improving the quality of lives of cancer patients and helping people to live with a cancer diagnosis for the past 38 years. As an integral part of the North Easts DNA, CLAN strive to ensure that anyone affected by cancer has the emotional support, information, and help needed to ensure their wellbeing is a priority at all stages of their cancer journey. Being the lifeline for over 10,000 people every year who use their services, this charity works tirelessly to ensure that their service users needs are cared for through the challenging times they face.

A cancer diagnosis is one of the toughest journey’s many of us will ever face, and every year in Scotland there is an alarming 13,000 cancer cases. CLAN'S therapy sessions help over 6000 people every year to cope with their feelings of anxiety, anger, and depression to hold them through this period of distress. They understand the impact a cancer diagnosis has is not only on the person diagnosed but also their family and friends and helped over 400 families last year alone. Many people with cancer may feel a lack of certainty about what the future holds for them. By delivering over 30,000 hours of support every year, Clan Cancer Support helps to reduce pain and stress by proving comfort to those affected by this heart-breaking disease.

CLAN Cancer support need a new Philanthropy Advisor. This role will involve you playing a vital part in the growth and future of the charity. A fulfilling and challenging role where you will be building everlasting relationships and engaging with new and existing donors while working across different income streams. Communicating with influence, impact, and motivating others by CLAN'S cause, you will be helping to further the charity’s mission and helping give people with cancer strength and hope.

The new Philanthropy advisor will have the aspiration to enthuse and support stakeholders

while managing and developing partnerships with a broad range of companies, groups, and associations. To deliver results, you will have had previous involvement in securing funds and have had experience in speaking to audiences from a wide range of backgrounds. You should have meticulous attention to detail with excellent organisational skills along with having the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities. You will be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and be able to take ownership and responsibility of your workload. When delivering a positive customer experience, you should have an empathetic and non-judgemental approach while also being professional and credible.
